Jenny, Loved your videos on the swags…very very helpful. Big question though is how to cut drapery fabric to keep a straight edge and the best way to establish a straigh edge prior to cutting out your panels or swags.
I tried using the railroad technique for a cutting out a 60″ swag but struggled after folding it into a rectangle to see where I went wrong in marking the CL. I thought I had folded it per the picture and actually tried folding it the other way but the CL was the entire length of the bottom fold and I couldn’t add the 2″ to the left of A….
what was I doing wrong?
Thanks

Sorry for the confusion on the CL for the railroaded version. I need to fix this in the ebook. You’re right, ideally you would want the folded edge to be CL + 2″, but it’s ok. The 2″ are for creating the curve. So, just measure in 2″ in the other direction. That will too.
And I do have videos for cutting fabric for a straight edge. I will go ahead and post those here for all members to enjoy. Give me a couple days to do so.
