If you have a lot of lift cords hanging off of your roman shade or balloon shade... or you have thicker cord that doesn't fit inside your cord drops... what do you do?

If you have a lot of lift cords hanging off of your roman shade or balloon shade... or you have thicker cord that doesn't fit inside your cord drops... what do you do?

You would use a cord condenser.

A cord condenser is typically a round item that conceals a knot on your lift cords.

It works like this:

1. Slide your cords into the smaller hole of the cord condenser.

2. Knot all of your cords together... close to the top of the cords near your hardware.

3. Slide the cord condenser over the knot

4. Trim all the cords off except for one.

5. Now all of your cords are condensed into one lift cord.

You can then add a cord drop to the end of the cord.

Cord condensers are available in cream and white to match your lift cord... or decorative wood to match your tassels. I even have aluminum and brass for a more modern touch.

If all of your cords won't fit through the small hole of the cord condenser, you'll need to use more than one.

Condense as many cords as possible, then condense the next set and so on. You can evenly space them down your lift cords for a decorative look. People will think it's part of the design!
